Lay the Pavers
Part of project
Concrete Paver Patio · Step 7 of 10
In this video
With the sand base perfectly level, begin laying the pavers. Start in a corner and work your way outwards to avoid disturbing the prepared sand bed. To ensure straight rows and consistent alignment, use stakes and a string line, or a long straightedge, as a guide. Maintain a consistent joint width between each paver. As each paver is placed, gently tap it into position using a rubber mallet to seat it firmly into the sand. Throughout the laying process, frequently check the pavers with a spirit level to ensure they are square and perfectly level. This regular checking is vital for a smooth and even finished surface.
