In this video
Pour bags of paver base sand over the compacted gravel. Use a rake to spread the sand evenly. Position the PVC pipes or metal conduits on the gravel as guides, then use a wooden plank (straight edge) to carefully screed and level the sand to a consistent depth. Remove any excess sand with a trowel or shovel, maintaining the desired grade for the paver bed.
