Excavate the Area
Part of project
Concrete Paver Patio · Step 2 of 10
In this video
Begin by clearly defining the area for your paver patio. Use shovels to dig out and remove existing grass and topsoil from the designated area. Pile the excavated sod and soil to the side, outside of the immediate work zone, for later disposal or use. Ensure the excavated area is relatively even in depth, typically 6-8 inches deep depending on your paver and base material thickness.
