Clean Front-Loader Door Seal — Wipe Down the Door Seal
Part of project
Washing Machine Cleaning · Step 3 of 6
In this video
Begin by addressing the door seal of a front-loading washing machine. Wearing rubber gloves, use a sponge or microfiber cloth dampened with vinegar to thoroughly wipe away any mold, mildew, dirt, and grime from the seal. Pay particular attention to the area behind the lip of the seal where dirt tends to accumulate. For stubborn mold and mildew stains, apply vinegar directly to the stain and let it sit for 20 minutes before scrubbing again. A toothbrush can be used for tough patches. After cleaning, use a paper towel to dry the seal completely.
