Every 2-3 months, or as needed, clean the detergent and fabric softener dispenser trays. Pull out the trays as far as they can go. Locate the small tab at the back of each tray (one for detergent, one for softener); press down on these tabs to fully release and remove the trays. Clean the trays thoroughly using a brush, warm water, and any preferred cleaning product to remove residue buildup. Also, clean the empty compartments inside the machine with a damp rag.
