Apply Construction Adhesive to Stair Treads — Step 4: Apply Wood Glue
Part of project
Stair Treads · Step 4 of 10
In this video
Once you have confirmed that all laminate pieces fit perfectly during the dry-fit, remove them from the stair tread. Then, using a caulk gun, apply a generous amount of construction adhesive to the entire surface of the existing stair tread. Distribute the adhesive in a wavy or serpentine pattern to ensure good coverage. Pay particular attention to the edges and the area where the nosing will sit, as these areas require a strong bond.
