After all the wooden pieces are securely joined and screwed, there may be some excess wood glue that has squeezed out from the joint lines. Carefully wipe away this excess glue using a finger. Removing wet glue ensures a cleaner aesthetic finish, particularly important if the wood will be stained or varnished later, as dried glue can prevent finishes from adhering properly to the wood surface.
