Attach Wall Mount Arms — Attach the Wall Plate
Part of project
Wall-Mounted Television Installation · Step 5 of 8
In this video
Take the main wall mount arm assembly. You will be using six lag bolts for this installation (more are provided for masonry or brick, which is not covered in this guide). To make installation easier, you can support the mount on your shoulder. Align the mount with the pre-drilled pilot holes. Insert one lag bolt loosely into a pilot hole using a power drill or driver. Then, insert the remaining lag bolts loosely into their respective pilot holes. Once all six bolts are in place, use a level on the mount to ensure it is perfectly horizontal. After confirming it's level, proceed to tighten all six lag bolts securely into the wall using the power drill/driver, but do not overtighten until all are snug. The mount should now be very secure.
