The presenter re-measures the height of the dresser (34 inches). He then adds 4 inches to this measurement (for typical TV stand clearance), resulting in 38 inches for the bottom of the TV. From the previous step, he knows the hooks on the TV arms are 19 inches from the bottom of the TV. So, he marks 38 + 19 = 57 inches from the floor for the top of the wall plate. He holds the wall plate against the wall at the marked height and uses a level (both the built-in one on the mount and a separate hand level) to ensure it's perfectly horizontal. He then marks the drilling points for both the stud side and the drywall side of the mount with a pencil, circling the holes.
