Begin by removing any existing TV or furniture from the wall. Then, use a stud finder, specifically a Zircon Edge Finding stud finder as shown in the video, to locate the wooden studs within the wall. Once a stud is detected, mark its edges with a pencil directly on the wall or on a piece of painter's tape placed horizontally on the wall. This ensures accurate placement of the TV mount's lag screws, providing a secure anchor point.
