To simplify the final mounting process, temporarily pre-assemble the TV bracket (the part that attaches to the TV) and the articulating arm to the back of the TV. Consult your mount's instructions for specific assembly steps. The mount kit typically comes with a large assortment of screws and spacers. To select the correct screw length for the TV, gently thread a screw into a mounting hole on the TV; it should bottom out without applying pressure to the TV screen itself. If it feels too long, causing pressure or potentially puncturing the screen, use a shorter screw or a spacer from the kit. The presenter demonstrates using a short screw with a screwdriver to secure the bracket rails to the TV's VESA mounting points. Then, attach the articulating arm to these rails. Once assembled, measure the distance from the top edge of the TV to the top mounting hole on the arm (e.g., 17 inches) and from the bottom edge of the TV to the bottom mounting hole (e.g., 3.5 inches). These measurements will be crucial for positioning the wall mount correctly.
