After deciding on the TV's position, use a stud finder (e.g., RYOBI) to locate the wall studs behind the chosen area. Run the stud finder horizontally along the wall, marking the edges and center of each stud with a pencil. This is crucial for securely mounting the TV to the structural framing of your wall. Once the stud locations are accurately marked, hold the TV wall mount bracket against the wall at the desired height, aligning it with the marked stud centers. Use a level (e.g., Husky 24-inch) to ensure the bracket is perfectly horizontal, then mark the exact spots for drilling pilot holes through the mount's designated screw holes into the center of the studs.
