I WILL DO THIS EVERY TIME IF I CAN FOR A TUB SPOUT REPLACEMENT!

What happens here

Carefully thread the new tub spout onto the male adapter, turning it clockwise. Tighten it by hand until it is snug and the spout is correctly oriented, facing downwards. Avoid overtightening, as this can damage the threads or the spout itself. Once the tub spout is installed, apply a bead of caulk (such as DAP Kwik Seal Plus) around the base of the spout where it meets the tub wall. Use a damp Q-tip or a wet finger to smooth the caulk bead for a clean, professional finish. This final step creates a watertight seal between the spout and the wall, preventing water from seeping behind the tiles.

Goal: Thread the new tub spout onto the male adapter and then caulk the connection to the wall for a finished, sealed look.
