Grohe Faucet Handle Keeps Moving the Wrong Way!

does your widespread faucet look like this and you want it to look like this here we go hey folks that fix it guy here and today we're going to be checking out a growing widespread lab faucet right one of the handles is when all wonky and i just want to show you that it can be a quick little fix so come along let's get to fixing [Music] all right so here's what we're looking at today this right here is a growing widespread lab faucet right so what they mean by widespread is this is spread out it's not three holes that are four inch center and it's all one body this is you know two handles and the spout well what we're looking at is you can see this is not the same so all across this what we're gonna do is we're gonna get this hooked up so a lot of times if you can go from the top and tighten this down it is so much better some you just can't do that but this right here you can see it's pretty loose like that's still on and i can move it and i can get it pretty much to the position where we want it but that's not going to help us because this is loose so what we're going to do is we're going to go ahead we're going to take this off sometimes there's going to be a screw underneath here that holds on but in this particular faucet that's not the case this little piece right down here you just take it and you turn it right you get that to where it's going off once you get that up far enough you're just going to be able to pull this off well typically you wouldn't be able to just pull it off you'd be able to lift it up and then you'd be able to get to the set screw right here all right but this house has been notorious for set screw failure right so typically i have two has one and they really made it to where they just didn't tighten it down man you can see once again just a fail so with that pulled off now you can get to right here this unscrews as well and now we're actually able to tighten this down right here we'll just take a big open-end wrench and we'll just turn this and you can tell man that's loose right very loose okay now that should be good to go just get all that cleaned out because this is gonna end up going right back on here this is gonna be sealed down in here you shouldn't really have to worry about sealing anything else with it get this tightened in place you're gonna be good to go so look right there if you get up on that spine you can see that there's just a bunch of different ridges on it right and that actually helps with placement of this it's kind of like for fine tuning okay so when we set this down in there we're gonna be able to set it down in place right where we need it to go okay so to put that set screw on what i want to do is before i do that you want to take this off you want to put a little loctite on it put it back in just a little bit get it positioned where you want it okay and then get in there and get this hooked up this is a two millimeter allen wrench just remember when you're dealing with grohe you're dealing in metric because they're a german company and so there we have it now that's good you're able to take this piece tighten it down and there you go back to hooked up all right so that's super easy if you don't have to get underneath the bottom okay so that worked out really well an adjustable jaw wrench uh an allen wrench set when you think growie always think metric okay that was a two millimeter metric that you're able to get in there and adjust that little set screw a little loctite will help you out with that not coming apart again and then as far as being able to tighten that valve onto the sink well it's nice that you're actually able to adjust it on the top i've ran into something or not but in this case it makes it very easy which is awesome okay i really hope you guys enjoyed the video if you could please like the channel subscribe we would love to have you keep coming back we're just trying to help and i hope that we do that and in the future when i run into other widespread labs i will show you how to take those candles off as well because really there are so many different styles out there when i figure out what style this particular growee is i'll put a link in the description box below as well thank you very much and we'll see you again real soon big casualty when making this video my little awesome bendy setup actually broke pretty positive i've had it for over a year we're way out of warranty um i don't know that there's any fixing that but you can see total metal just broke it was just a bad point there we'll see see if i can pop that apart and i don't know maybe it does something maybe we can pull that off or get it hooked up find a replacement i don't know
