Checking Out a New SmartPhone Gimbal...UNBOX and FIRST LOOK

open this bad boy up hey folks that fix it guy here and today we're going to be reviewing a gimbal for your phone all right i know that not all of you are bloggers or inspiring youtubers or anything but if you're looking for some cool way to keep your phone stable and to shoot quality video well this little gimbal could hook you up so come along let's get to fixing [Applause] [Music] let's get all that junk out of here and let's check this bad boy out okay so this is the mini x foldable smartphone gimbal by moza all right these guys were awesome enough to reach out to me and say hey would you like to try this product i've been looking for a new one for a little while and so i said absolutely i would love to um you know the one i have i think it works pretty well but there's a couple of features on it that i just can't really figure out how to use and i was out at stony ridge's house and i used his and i was like man i need to work at getting a new one and so these guys just graciously reached out and said hey you want to try on our product pretty stoked about that so let's just pop this bad boy out of the box see what we got it's packaged pretty well looks good it's definitely smaller than mine let's grab my other case right out the get-go you can see comparison wise like this bad boy is way bigger man i probably shouldn't put my knife away i just keep running into a piece of package after piece of package here oh yeah yeah dude that's gonna be awesome this is like way smaller that's gonna be much better fitting my luggage like this is how big this one is compared to that one and this one doesn't fold up anymore so i mean really if you guys are looking for something to stabilize some video right you wonder how some of my shots are so smooth whenever i'm doing things like this is it man it's a gimbal wow this thing is crazy compact i don't actually know how to flip that around i'm scared to start turning on things moving things we're just going to pull out the booklet and let's uh let's read a little bit pan motor joystick i like it because it almost has like a joystick feel to it right it looks a little bit different it's not just a straight up and down held hold type of thing okay so if you hold this straight like this it actually i thought it was supposed to turn to the side oh it does so that is what turns so this whole thing you can turn it to different angles that's awesome this is a cool feature i have to tell you if i wanted to hold this like that sometimes your hand gets really tired holding these things right but that's cool man i like it it's got a little trigger action underneath here this is gonna be fun let's keep rolling here we might have to plug it in let it sit for a little while i don't think it's going to come charged up cool just a nice little holder if you wanted to put this on here just goes in these little holes right here right hook that up i promise i'm trying to be gentle with this thing see glad i didn't put that knife away dude oh awesome and this is a little bag for it so it folds up small enough to put in that bag which is awesome and it comes with a cool little tripod so check that out you can stick this bad boy if you rotated it i guess to the side you could stick this well i guess you could do it with it not that way too but you could plug this bad boy on here or not see what i'm doing here that is awesome yeah and then you've just got a gimbal that's going to sit there just a little tripod that's going to be cool like look at that that puppy boom let's go ahead and we'll put that back and we'll see if this actually turns on let's see if there's any juice in it oh there is juice in it okay well the other set of instructions here was just a quick instruction type thing so it said i definitely want to download the app so we'll just go to the app store so it says right here we're probably going to need this for stabilized calibration object tracking adjust the camera parameters there's so much to this it's going to take a little while to learn it but i'm hoping to be able to show you and so it showed us how to hook this up so you want to unlock the gimbal and it says do not turn the gimbal on when locked so it says do not start the gimbal yet start gimbal after installing the phone right so i'm assuming they want the camera direction to be over here now this is made specifically for a phone right okay so i had to go plug it in real quick all right so it comes with a usb by usbc charger right so this is like what a lot of the new apple stuff and i guess a lot of things are going to this it's a faster charger and whatever but i just had to go and plug that in just to give this thing a little bit of juice right so everything's there it's unlocked it's good now what we're gonna do is put the phone in it i guess we're gonna try to balance it out so it looks like it needs to come over just a little bit so it's like this you get it start up and then when you hit the start button it jumps right to attention right and so now it's rocking and rolling now you're able to pan around and now if you hit the little joystick you're going to be able to move this around and pan however you like this is a cool little feature if you're trying to make your phone into you know just a video camera for your home recordings like this little thing will offer a lot of versatility you can connect this all to bluetooth you can hook this up oh i think it says bluetooth right oh yeah so i just needed to wait pair it okay so once you connect it now it's connected and now you can actually zoom in and out with these buttons so i don't have to do anything with my phone i can take a picture or start recording just by hitting start so now i'm recording on this phone and i can stop i can adjust again and then the trigger what does that say the trigger does trigger does face recognition so if i actually had a face then you could hit that and it would actually recognize the face and i bet it locks on and stays locked on to it so there's some cool stuff and then there's probably all kinds of other features but right out of the box charge it let it roll and it's going to be great for you right whether you're a video blogger whether you're a youtuber or whether you're just looking for something to do some home video pretty sweet okay so let's just take a little walk real quick and get around through here and you can see this kind of rolls pretty smooth man actually pretty stoked about it all let's go up a little bit let's come over here and check out up all right it is very cool it's small i it's got some cool features and i think it's going to work really well for me right i and and the one nice thing is i think the price point is actually lower than the first one that i bought which they sell a bigger version too but i don't need a bigger version i need something small i want something compact i don't like having to lug a bunch of stuff around which i do all right have you guys seen what i lug around sometimes to shoot videos it's crazy all right i really hope you guys enjoyed the video i hope that i i did it justice for right out of the box it's not very hard to set up if i can do it you can do it i'm not a huge tech guy but i can tell you that i like this i will be reading some more of the booklet right we just went through the
