Using a utility knife, carefully slice off the very tip of the threaded end of the silicone caulk tube. Next, take the plastic applicator nozzle and cut its tip off at a slight angle. The size of the opening should match the size of the gap you intend to fill. Creating a small opening provides better control over the bead of caulk.
