To achieve a perfectly straight and clean caulk line, apply painter's masking tape along both sides of the joint where the caulk will be applied. Position the tape precisely to define the width and edges of your desired caulk bead. This will act as a guide and prevent excess caulk from adhering to surrounding surfaces, making cleanup much easier.
