While the caulk is still wet, carefully remove the painter's tape. Start at one end and pull the tape slowly and steadily, at a 45-degree angle away from the fresh caulk line. This will create a sharp, clean edge. If you wait for the caulk to dry, removing the tape can pull the caulk out of the joint, ruining your work. Remove both strips of tape to reveal your perfectly finished, professional-looking caulk bead.

okay once the caulking is done and you're satisfied that you get it nice and smooth now it's time to remove the tape you want to be very careful with this and you want to do this while the caulking is still wet if you wait too long you may tear it out of what you just placed it into that joint between the in this case the tub and the shower wall so you want to start at one end and on an angle pulling away you want to carefully pull the tape and you see you get that really nice crisp line to give you those professional looking results and that's it if you need more
