Ralph Returns! Destroyed 6L80 Comes Out Using Questionable Methods...(72 LSA Monte Carlo Build)

What happens here

The video begins with the presenter introducing the project: removing a blown transmission from a Monte Carlo. He prepares the car lift by adding hydraulic fluid using an improvised funnel made from a cut plastic water bottle, demonstrating a common DIY technique for lack of specialized tools. His partner attempts to hang banners and move a large wooden table in preparation for the car, highlighting the ongoing setup of the new workshop.

Goal: Prepare the workshop and car lift for the transmission removal

Tools and materials

  • Banners EBC Brakes — Decorating the workshop walls
  • Car Lift BendPak — Lifting the car for underside access
  • Duct Tape — Attempting to hang banners
  • Large Wooden Table — Temporary work surface and later as a transmission support
  • Plastic Water Bottle — Creating an improvised funnel
  • Scissor or Knife — Cutting the plastic bottle to create a funnel
  • Hydraulic Fluid — Filling the car lift's reservoir

it is well the time has come the lift is finally functional in the shop we're gonna pull the blown-up transmission out of the monte carlo right now and there's still all kinds of stuff in it from moving whatever that's fine because i found another 6l90 uh that we're supposed to go pick up tomorrow so we're yanking this out now unprepared ill-equipped but we're gonna do it anyway but first we have to put more hydraulic fluid in the lift because i haven't done that yet what are you doing with plank why was he on the ground um i wondered that too and i realized that travis probably put him there whenever he ran the um the lift wiring along that ledge do you want me to do it yeah okay okay here you go blank i'm gonna put that somewhere we're hanging up all these banners and she started hanging up off the doctor's office and we didn't have like we need to get some string or something to tie from pole to pole so we can like tie them to the string but she tried to make it nice and surprised me with available products anyway which is duct tape and it didn't really hold it that well but you tried and thought counts yep i appreciate you get this dusty thing pushed back into the lift slot for the inaugural hoisting actually manhandling the monte carlo into its place you know i'm really grateful that this car is so easy to push i'm used to shoving the escalade around by myself this thing's like half an escalade i say that as a joke is this car i think weighs 3 600 pounds with me in it it's not that heavy it before i had a hood on it probably like 37 now because that's a really heavy hood i want to know if anybody else does this or if it's just me and a couple you guys who are some big brain people that don't have a lot of funnels laying around i use a cut up water bottle more than i use an actual funnel for a lot of things because i always got a water bottle nearby but you don't always have you don't always have an actual funnel so we're just gonna shove that right in there and pour some stuff in fluid added only some on the floor we got some on the floor just so we would know there's actually fluid in there because if there wasn't any on the floor i would think it's empty so let's see if it works [Music] i'm not sure how weight distribution and stuff goes i've never put a car on this lift before it seems to be okay to me
