New Shop Tour! What Are We Gonna Do In North Carolina? (BONUS: New Tekton Tools Unboxing!)

all right guys here's a tour of the new shop i know it's very large overwhelming there's a lot to look at we'll do our best to try not to get lost but i'll be your tour guide today and um pay attention because it's going to get rough in there all right you ready to go yep let's see your crib all right as we come into the main entrance here this is the lobby welcome to the lobby as you can see we have items over there that came out of the truck that we have not gotten um gotten to yet pieces of wood that we're gonna make shelves out of and things of that nature which we'll cover in a separate part of the tour in a separate uh part of the shop here but it'll take us a while to walk over there so let's come this way over here we have more stuff that was unloaded from the truck that is not set up yet like this fabulous uh lift i covered sawdust all over yeah that's covered in sawdust from the very awesome tables back there that we spent um several days working on didn't wasn't supposed to be that way but turned out to be a much more involving project than we planned and we'd do things right here so we took the time to do it right we just got the wrong stain first yeah we got the wrong stuff first and then we had to get it off which made the sanding a thousand times worse and it was just terrible i'm getting ptsd just talking about it so let's continue the tour this way here we have all the boxes from the tools that we're about to open but i'm showing you this out of sequence so we need to take these the dumpster this one does not go to the dumpster because this box here this box here is for that box over there which is for that white box in the parking lot all the stuff falling off of it uncle george's frankel george this is a cvf accessory drive like um all billet ac pulleys all that stuff the fancy anodized stuff you see on show cars and in one of those boxes is the blueprint engine 632 tall deck 840 horsepower big block with a holley sniper kit on it that you see in like fancy show cars so we've got all this fancy show car stuff and it's going it's going to go into an 1800 suburban so that's what this is here this is a desk that desk a table this is a deskable bench desk that we didn't have a place to put yet because it's probably going to go against that wall once the lift is set up whoa oh where are we going like don't get ahead of yourselves here i know you're really excited to see the rest of the shop it's so big i promise you we're going to have time to cover the whole thing over here you have more stuff that is not completely organized yet but did start organizing set up these shelves here but they're dual purpose all right um how did you do that okay i guess we unplugged it with my bag but i thought you know what what if we spaced the shelves out a little bit and then this one can be a workbench surface it can be like a work booth so move this up figure why would you set up shelves and put the bottom shelf at the very bottom unless you're trying to keep stuff off the floor but we don't need to keep these boxes off the floor so we can put the first shelf up higher and de facto gain another shelf in the shelf so we got this one perfect work height this one's spaced up a little bit higher because you don't really put big heavy things um above your head so you can have a smaller shelf up there uh this is just a temporary like piece of balsa wood here i'm gonna cut one of those big pieces over there to make like workbench surfaces for this and that one and we got pegboard to hang up back here and we put lights up here so my kind of plan for organization structure here is parts in the box whether new or used waiting for something go on that shelf so the whole organization of the the vast shopland here is clean stuff all the way to the back aka merch where we pack stuff and then it get dirtier as you move forward so like the tools and um shop equipment gets stored up here the lift is gonna get put in so cars get backed in and all the working on things under the hood happens over here so you have messes you can get the floor west we get out the door all that stuff that way we're not getting dirt on top of the merch so it's a progressive dirt level organization through here which means that this workbench i want to make into detail work slash wiring station so i want to have this all like super bright have spools of wires all the you know connectors crimpers heat shrink solder all that stuff here so if i'm wiring something come over here pull up a little work stool thing that doesn't exist yet and sit down here in a nice clean environment to do so over here i'm not sure exactly what this will be it'll be probably a general workspace for assembling cleaner things and that bench over there gonna go against that wall that's going to be the freaking dirty stuff work bench like i just pulled a rear diff out of across the yukon and i need to change the ring gear i need to plop this on a table and it's going to get gear oil everywhere that's going to go over there we're going to put some eighth-inch steel on top of it so it can be cleanable and it's lightable for heavy things well onward let's continue with the tour here um over there we have some more stuff that is to be organized the seats need to go back in uncle rob right here we have the uh garage beast um i haven't driven it in like four years because i suck this is going to be the current project focus the goal is to have this thing ready for race week will that happen i honestly don't know it's looking rough for day by day because we still don't have to lift in um we are in mooresville north carolina there's racing stuff everywhere here but apparently finding someone to put a lift in is harder than i thought and i'm not going to do it myself again because that was terrible and i have better things to do so let's see what's under here oh you want to know how much dust there was i put a shirt here to take a picture of it and it did that it's actually the shirt that i'm wearing right now which you can find on stapleronautoworks.com with this hat america limited edition anyway back to the tour um it's the original 6-2 out of the escalade with the lsa blower that used to be on the escalade right now it has a blown up 6l80 in it and i may put another one in there if i could find a deal on one i might put a two wheel drive for a lady in it i don't know interim desk while the main desk was under construction and it still has all the stuff on it it needs to be cleaned up and put away by ourself we got authentic boom tubes here from dr gas these two are leftover what they call super talladega series boom tubes that these would have been used at daytona and talladega on the last gen 4 cup cars before they went to the car tomorrow in 2007 they used x-pipes on stuff with boom tubes on both sides on super speedways these were left over from that which is freaking sweet because they're gonna go on this car monte carlo aka call it ralph if you don't understand the joke i can't help you but um let's continue the tour here okay here is my desk with this awesome gloss black wood finish logan did a great job on these i only helped during some of the sanding apocalypse but she did everything else um how do you feel about these much better they look nicer they do and i was skeptical at first because you know me i'm like i don't care it's a desk i'm gonna put my stuff on and it's fine but you're like no they have to be black so like okay let's do it it's important to you we're gonna do it i'm glad we did it because i like sitting here much more now exactly it's nice so i agree with that here's my plaque which i finally took out of the box and decided i'm gonna put it somewhere because i didn't want to look at it i didn't feel like i deserved to look at it i don't know but i have it so i should look at it because we need to get another one of these and hopefully not to this in the future continuing here's the toolbox which we're going to open up and assemble here in about a couple minutes due to the magic of editing pretend you didn't see that over here is logan's desk where all of your shirts and hats and stickers get packaged and organized that is the inventory it's a little sparse right now we got some more stuff coming we have more designs coming so we got another shelf and we got another shelf in the box there that we need to put together we actually have two new shirts on the horizon one of which should be here in the next week or so if you um direct your gaze to the flags above the scoreboard no okay uh that's uh upstairs where um we have some extra tires and some merch bins for traveling which we don't need because we're not traveling right now uh should we show should we show the the porcelain throne full okay yes here is oh here's the climate control air conditioning isn't that nice greatest thing ever yep but i'm cheap so i don't make it super cold in here we have throne and we actually have a full-size shower it's getting used more like a utility tub now for like filling buckets of cleaner or rinsing things off it's actually pretty handy for that we'll probably like wash parts in there and stuff too but don't tell chris the whole story wouldn't care but so we come on back here oh wait but we're not in the shop anymore does that mean the tour is over no there's more this is the backyard um there's lots of garbage back here left from the people that used to own this building like this moldy towel thing um not really sure what's going on with that we're still cleaning things up but there's a freaking dog pen back here well that does it for the backyard there's a grasshopper cricket thing i don't know i'm not steve or when i don't know what that is this is the shirt that i wore yesterday slash what you're about to see me put that together with it's the designed to tribute dale earnhardt's picker uniforms from like 1988 1989 they look like this but so stable than auto works it's good good material stuff we use next level brand shirts for everything not your freaking sticky heavy cotton they're good it's good stuff we have stuff all the way to 6xl and in the 4x to 6x range they might be bella canvas brand or something but they're still good they're still good shirts everything from small to like 3x is next level which we have here in the uncle rob shirt you've seen me wear a bunch of times and we have some hoodies left too which uh those will be the last like two x two x and small yeah the last teal flag hoodies to ever exist because now it's almost fall again so we're gonna be ordering more hoodies of completely new variants and uh there's plank he's up there he made it he's made it he's doing it he drove the money girl the whole way here uh he didn't complain about it at all he also never left the trailer the trailer got hit by somebody had a flat tire it was a whole big mess if you haven't watched the video of us moving here you probably should because it's quite entertaining i feel a little bit underwhelmed making videos in the shop again because for the last two months we've been you know either moving doing burnouts with something or doing race week so now to just be in here doing videos inside the shop again it feels kind of like i don't know i feel like i could do better but i forget that the goal here is to document not create this is a documentation of the real in our process that's why we showed you the shop in its unput together format here um yeah and you guys get to watch it evolve right alongside with us so let's get to unboxing some tools building the toolbox and checking that out i know you've probably been wondering what's been going on in here uh a lot a lot of stuff's been going on getting situated in the new shop here we're gonna go over that some of this stuff in here first you know upcoming builds whatever but first thing we're going to do is unbox these new tools from tecton i think it's pronounced should be a tool cart and some other stuff on here i'm not exactly sure but i'm pretty excited because we've got a new shop we've got new tools too they actually shipped these to us we were still in texas but didn't want to open it yet because then you know this is more stuff to be accounted for and cart and all that takes up less space in the box so we've been waiting to do this until now and it looks like it has some kind of instructions on here like maybe we should open this one first i don't know it says open last thing i was joking it started i thought it was being funny but i don't know it feels weird to be doing this again kind of the last couple months like uh knocked us out of the groove bottom assembly open first there's no shortage of tape on here yes it is i first heard of these guys when we went to boosted boy kyle's new place in florida he had a bunch of stuff and i'm like wow this is like this is pretty nice stuff never heard of it and uh his guy wyatt said that he's been using them for a while uh even like on his own stuff before he worked there so like let's check them out in here this looks like we got some wheels and some nuts assembly tools also included bonus okay this is like a lot more going on here than i expected it's probably like a mat nice do you think if it says open first that also means assemble first yes yeah i would assume so okay that's what we're gonna do here let's just open the box of wheels and how it said it had tools with it i figured you know when you get something then you're gonna put it together it usually comes with like some wing ding dong little thing to put it together not these guys they actually give you like a real torx screwdriver thing that's genius one because then you can fill up the rest of your set two if you weren't gonna buy one of these anyway now you're like wow this is pretty nice i should get the rest of them these guys this is like pretty cool what do you think i feel like they don't do that for everybody i think they do it says right in here do you think they made this sticker just for me it's assembly tools also included oh well that's cool yeah i mean there's more actual tools in there to put in this toolbox but like i think this actually comes with the card and that's awesome props to you guys and we got these legs here which look like they have these little knockout indentations for stuff it's neat i don't know what goes on there i think we'll probably figure that out soon though see they don't even give you a wingding thing they actually give you a real t25 socket another one damn it got it 7 16. i'm impressed i like this so far we got that thing that thing one of these one of those some wills oh these are nice that's cool i can put those on there these yeah you want to put the wheels on yeah all right that's something easy there you go why huh i said you're live online i didn't know if you were like gonna say anything or knew that i started it well well here we are got the last thing on here now i don't know what way to do but it made the most sense to me to put a locking wheel because it has two locking two that don't put one on each corner like one on each side so that way you know it like completely locks it cool there's probably directions somewhere who needs those no not us you know what i'm struggling here we'll just come back whenever we have the legs on above that do we get to open the next box now yeah what that's neat uh well i don't know exactly what the purpose of this is yet but i think we'll find out soon we also managed to get sawdust everywhere which sucked which got um well we'd do a lot more sanding than we thought we did kind of got carried away and forgot about everything i figured whatever we'll just clean it up the top shirt on every stack got sawdusty so they're currently being washed in the washing machine in the knoll so if you order a shirt like the one i am wearing or the one on this desk from stapletonverse.com there's a possibility it got washed in our washing machine if that's cool to you then awesome if not it was robbie gordon's old washing machine maybe that makes it cool or maybe it makes it weirder i don't know it's just the reality of the situation let's build a toolbox also if you're wondering we got a decent bit of like random amazon packages and stuff um in texas do not mail anything there anymore we're not there so if you want to mail us something random or something you think would be useful here like we got like lights and stuff or like little random extension cord things that people have sent without saying anything i don't even say they are a lot of that stuff is actually really useful so we don't want anything useful to go to texas we don't want that we want to go here if you have something like that um you can email me for the link the email in the description and it will tell you where to send it we have more pads here it's got all kinds of goodies yeah yes it does what is this are supposed to be drawers and stuff in there we have a white thing back panel 1x these were not beat up and shipping they were beat up by us moving here packages i mean the boxes might be beat up but everything inside is packaged so well there's nothing like damaged that's a good point from us throwing stuff around because we beat the crap out of these boxes and i got stuff put on top of them that shouldn't have been on top of them everything in here is completely fine i think that's a testament to tecton and their shipping department they did a good job we did not do a good job oh it's a drawer imagine that so they got this you see a nice little springy mechanism in here it's real stable like feel this it's very smooth doesn't wiggle you know like those harbor freight general drawers they have like little plastic under there and it's just like a little flimsy piece of plastic and but this is like you know you can see it too i hate when you can't see those things because you're like oh where the heck is it you know just finger in the crap out of the drawer to find a little release it's right here hey let's get these open get the tracks on them and figure out uh where they go so apparently these things have like an inner and outer piece and i didn't notice that until just now i just kind of put it together and then i'm like it's kind of confusing i'm going to look at the instructions which now i've come to learn a different box we haven't opened yet but it says that leg posts have an interior and exterior piece so insert that as straddles the leg we didn't do that so i'm gonna take these off and put them back on the right way yeah you hear that silence it's beautiful it is i love it you can hear the rain falling on the roof i'm just i'm just reflecting how great it is to finally have silence in a workspace even when the guys next door are working you can't hear them at all literally they don't come in here and they have like heavy machinery going and it's still like silent they're like mandrel bending turbo kits across the wall and like you can't even hear they're cutting stuff and welding things they've got guys and they're welding all the time that's the facility that makes the armageddon turbo kits that's on the side of the wall we'll do a video with those guys when they're ready also dm bryant if you're watching this video you asked for ruger to sign it so i had to figure out a way for ruger to sign it and he did you'll be getting that soon yep if uh if you order one of those there's a couple that were oversold and we ordered more so we'll ship those when we get them that's actually his foot you got like an inkpad thing and shoved his foot on there and he stuck it on the shirt so you need an authentic dog like this has a little cutout for the leg and it's flat on the bottom but it'll fit both ways so i got lucky three times by putting on
