What happens here

This project details the installation of an essential drainage system for a new retaining wall, particularly in a complex scenario where it's built in front of an existing wall next to a swimming pool. The process involves strategic planning, precise cutting of blocks for drainage integration, excavation of a trench using a mini-excavator with laser-guided depth control, placement of flexible perforated drain pipes wrapped in a geotextile sock, and backfilling with granular material. This ensures proper water management, reduces hydrostatic pressure, and enhances the structural integrity of the retaining wall system.

so we're gonna put our next course in get a pin and then we're doing drain tile behind here we'll get that in there he wants six drains through here so it's gonna end up being like one every nine blocks get you caught up to speed we removed an old retaining wall and now we're in the process of building a brand new one in front of the old one so we're borrowing the strength of the old wall because we can't jeopardize any of the plumbing or electrical servicing that swimming pool now let's get on to the next level [Music] my team loves battery-powered chop sauce it's by choice we have a whole slew of gas powered saws but they go for the battery every time just because it's so simple ah [Music] next step on our wall is we're gonna get our corners in or your the radius and there's one going on either side it's gonna be a nine foot radius same as the original we just brought it out two feet and then these three remaining courses of the original wall we're gonna keep in place there's no real reason to take them out there's going to be a lot of rocking between the new wall and the old one so it's not going to go anywhere and i will just use it as a little bit of extra structural support since this is all going to be holding up the pool so yeah there's no real reason to take it out so why disturb soil that you don't need to disturb [Music] sam uses a grade rod which will beep when blaine hits the right depth he's got to be careful because if he digs too deep then they have to put soil back in place and must compact it so at some point around the corner i think we'll have to step up yeah this is a little low here or a little high because how how deep out of the ground are we right there i mean you measure from the bottom of the stick up to the grass where your feet are one one no yeah one so that means that block will be buried right there that's what we want right yeah but i would say stepping up maybe right over here i do that yeah step up right through here probably because i gotta hit that sweet spot but yeah we got one [Music] so that's the line right there all right so we'll come a little further that depth but to maintain that depth means more of the retaining wall has to come out all right guys we'll see you tomorrow we're coming back to this exact spot in the video so you guys should just be able to hit autoplay god bless
