gonna tell you guys what we're doing today what's that i'm gonna tell them what we're doing today yeah we're gonna be building a trailer and then giving it away yeah you actually heard right the trailer you're going to see built today is one that we're giving away along with texas pride trailers this is in celebration of you guys helping me hit my 500 000 subscriber and then this is also the 50 000 trailer that texas pride trailers has hand built and at the end of this video we're going to tell you guys how you could get a chance to win this thing but we've got to get it built first so let's do that right now our shift starts at 3 a.m but before the crew that starts building the dump trailer even arrives it's the forklift operator's job to start putting together their material list he's going to get everything placed so that these guys can just grab and go and build i came from the mud on my hands strong like a tree these sheets will become the left and right side panels of the actual dump body itself and he wants to get those separated so the guys can get their fingers in between there without getting them pinched but this forklift operator doesn't service the entire complex instead he focuses on just servicing a few different bays each bay has a team that has their own build going on and this forklift operator's job is to know what each team is doing what step or phase of the project they're in and to be one step ahead of them with their materials next he'll grab the left and right sides of the trailer frame and lift them up into place to begin the build [Music] we're going to be building this with marvin and miguel they've been working together as a team for many years [Applause] before they box the frame together they flip the individual frame members upside down and weld on the brackets that will hold the suspension in place then they'll rotate them back around box it out and get ready to hang the suspension [Music] flash warning coming up in three two one the brackets that will hold the trailer wiring in place are the next thing to be welded onto the frame [Music] miguel and marvin move into their next step which is boxing out the frame and tying everything together and that means they've got to get the cross members in place [Applause] [Music] i don't see marvin and miguel breaking out the tape measure very often on this build and especially at times when i would have probably measured three or four times and still gotten it wrong these guys don't even pull it out the next step is to hang the suspension [Applause] occasionally guys you're gonna see another camera crew in the background and that's the texas pride guys documenting their 50 000 trailer build that they've done by the front and floor of the trailer are the next things to get installed [Music] the rest of the dump beds cross members are next to get knowledge everything gets tacked first and then gone through and fully welded later on [Music] guys meet miguel he's worked at texas pride trailers for over 17 years and this isn't the first dump trailer he's built but he's still got to get the pockets to store the ramps put in place uh [Music] the floor of the dump trailer gets slid into place and temporarily tacked off the uprights that will hold the dump gator next to be put into position while the gate is being cut and formed the forklift operator grabs the hitch and gets that ready to go the side panels of the dump body are put into place [Music] oh [Music] the front of the dump and the top rail along the sides both get tacked in place they also tack the side walls to the bottom of the floor while miguel works on the inside of the box marvin starts laying out where the state pockets go the floor gets tacked to the frame one member of the team stands on top to weigh the sheet down the other one does the work from underneath everything that's been tack welded up to this point will now get fully welded into place they don't expect the doors to line up and they have a plan for that the doors hang in place just fine but they need a little convincing to line up to this stage they've just been tack welding everything together but with the doors finally adjusted they can switch gears and start full welding everything [Music] this trailer will have a telescopic hoist similar to the one i specced out from my own [Music] this waste is the last thing that marvin and miguel have got to get in place before this trailer gets moved out and put into the paint but it fights them every step of the way not everything is meant to be easy but after they get this done their job for the day is done they've completed the build in a day but this trailer then gets moved on to the next phase which is the paint hey can i get your name what's your name marvin marvin how long have you been working here nine years you've been building trailers at texas pride nice thanks marvin hey can i get your name there you go miguel how long have you been building trailers miguel nice all right thank you the trailer first gets primered and then it gets painted you should have seen the guy yeah he was amazing yeah the paint dude i whole trailer i think it was 30 minutes yeah top and bottom oh my god yeah you got by himself i helped i just tried not to be in this lake you got back pretty quick there's an orange trailer if you guys can't tell the trailer does not get painted from front to back or top to bottom in fact he goes through the trailer hitting the most difficult areas first before he starts on the bigger spots you get your name uh miguel miguel how long you been painting like four years four years man you fly thank you dude you just and you don't miss a beat thank you nice seeing you work man miguel gets this trailer ready for the next phase which is the wiring bay it's also in this bay where they install the power system for the hoist put on the stickers and wrap up the rest of the details for this trailer before it gets ready to get shipped out the door these guys started this trailer at 3 a.m and by 5 p.m that same day it's ready to go out the door but this is a pretty special trailer this is
