Kitchen Sink Drain Repair (Easy DIY Fix)

What happens here

With the rubber washers in place, secure the new basket strainer from underneath the sink. Hand-tighten the large plastic nut onto the threaded portion of the basket strainer first. Ensure it's snug but do not overtighten, as this could damage the plastic. For final tightening, use channel locks. While tightening, continue to hold the top of the basket strainer with your other hand to prevent it from spinning and to ensure a secure, watertight seal. The goal is to make it very tight, preventing any leaks when water runs through.

Goal: Securely fasten the basket strainer to the sink, ensuring a watertight seal.
