Initial Site Assessment and Old Heater Overview

What happens here

Begin by reviewing the existing water heater setup. Note the previous issues, such as a broken shut-off valve, the old unit's valve facing the wall making it inaccessible, and improper earthquake restraints (plumber's tape). The old water heater, its vent pipe, and associated plumbing were already removed prior to the start of this segment, leaving an empty space and exposed water lines.
