Helping My Neighbor Install a 50-Gal Rheem Gas Water Heater
What happens here
Assemble the copper piping and ProPress fittings for the cold and hot water lines. Connect a ProPress tee fitting, then attach the cut copper pipes to form the necessary connections. Use a marker to indicate the insertion depth on the pipes for proper seating within the ProPress fittings. Press all the connections using the 'Ridgid RP 115 ProPress tool'. Ensure that the pipes are level using a level during installation. These connections will run from the main water lines to the top of the water heater, and a horizontal run will connect the expansion tank to the cold water line.
Goal: Create and install the rigid copper water supply lines for the water heater and expansion tank.
