What happens here

This project guides you through building a sturdy and durable wooden tomato cage, offering a long-lasting alternative to often flimsy store-bought metal cages. The process involves precise cutting of wooden boards for legs and cross members, ripping them to size, pre-drilling holes, and assembling the components using weather-resistant deck screws. The final cage is then installed into the garden to support growing tomato plants.

Stop buying flimsy tomato cages and build one that lasts. So, for your legs, go ahead and cut them down to 54 in. Once you have one of them cut, this one will make two legs. Now, I'm just going to rip these boards in half on the table saw. In my case, they're an inch and 5/8. Okay, now that I got all these boards cut, I'm just going to throw a 45 on the end here so they dig in the ground better. Now that we've finished up our legs, we're going to do our cross members. So, go ahead and I did those at 18 in. So, we need 16 of them per cage. All right, now I got all these cross members cut down to 18 in. I'm just going to rip them in half on the table saw. All right, now I got everything cut. I'm going to go ahead and I'm just going to mark these legs. 12 24 36. All right, now once you got your pieces marked, you can take your little ones here, your cross members and you can just throw them right on there. This one will go here. And it'll look just like this. I'm using these triple coated deck screws, so hopefully they last longer in the weather. So, once you finish your two sides, you're going to put four more boards this way all the way down. And make sure that you guys are pre-drilling all of these screws before you put them in. Just going to mark 6 in. This is how deep I'm going to pound these into the ground. I don't know about y'all, but I absolutely hate the metal ones from Walmart. So, I decided to grab some scrap wood that I had laying around and built these ones. Anyways, I got stuff to do. I'll catch you guys later. Peace.
