What happens here

This project provides a comprehensive guide on how to perform the rough-in electrical work, including mounting electrical boxes, drilling precise holes through studs, and properly running and securing electrical wire in preparation for drywall and final fixture installation. Adherence to local electrical codes is emphasized throughout the process.

Here's how to run electrical. Let's get after it. Step one, mount your boxes where you want them. Make sure you read your local code to know where your boxes should be. There's these little stickouts here. That's for your drywall. So, you're going to put this on your stud and bump it right up to here. Then that's way that allows the box to sit flush with the drywall. These measure half an inch. So, put that on there. Slide it back to where those touch the stud. Take your hammer and pound them in. After you went around and installed all your boxes, next you're going to drill your holes. Mark the height on all the studs and then find center. Grab a 7/8 spade bit and drill your hole. Make sure that you maintain an inch and a quarter distance from both sides. Inch and a quarter, an inch and a quarter. If you drill too far over on one side, you have to put a metal wire protector on a stud. These get pounded in. Here's what could happen if you don't drill the hole in the middle of your stud. You could drill right through your wire. After you went through and drilled all your holes, run your wire. Once you got it close to your box, pound out the bottom of your box, slip your wire through, and pound in a cable staple. Take your excess wire, leave yourself room to play, roll it up, and stick it in your box ready for your outlet. That's how you do the rough-in part of electrical. So, anyways, I got stuff to do. Catch you guys later. Peace.
