not oh damn this Chris the Idaho painter in this video I'm going to teach you how to sponge talk and spackle your trim to get it ready to paint this is a new construction job got some interior trim doors installed and now you've got to go to do the prepping process to paint it if you want to do this right it's a sponge coffee method and a spackling method I'm going to teach you how to do it right now so now I have this door jamb my hair it's a bad mood or gem installed and this is going to pertain to any type of baseboards or crown molding the coffee and spackling method and I typically use like a Crawford spackle an interior and exterior spackle this one right here is just a staff like that but I like Crawford's it dries really hard Sam's really well you're also going to want a sanding sponge I get a sanding sponge up here that I've used I you like a medium sanding sponge and that's used when you do your spackling when this stuff is nailed on just be nail holes you're get a lot of spackle it let it dry and then sand it when it comes to the caulking I just get myself a coffee gun I like caulking guns with ratchets I'm going to use white coffee two coffees and then I have a sponge and this is going to be a wet sponge and dip it in a bucket bucket water and keep it really wet and this sponge is actually so I can keep my hands wet and I can actually get a really smooth bead of caulking on here so here we go so the stock like method
