Painting HIGH Ceilings. How to paint hard to reach areas. Painting with a brush holder.

This is Chris the Idaho Painter. This video we're going to show you how we're going to paint around a ceiling fan. We got a ceiling fan way up here. It's about 20 ft high and we got to cut around it. And it's a little bit difficult to actually get to being 20 ft. Going to You would have to have an extremely high A-frame ladder to get up there and paint around where the ceiling fan is actually mounted to the ceiling. So, we're just going to use a simple tool, a brush holder ext attached to an eight to 18 foot extension pole. I'm going to reach up there and we're going to cut around it using this brush holder right here and a brush. And I'm going to show you what that looks like and how simple it is and easy it is to paint around something that's really high on a ceiling. Just going to show you this ceiling fan that's way up here. You can see we've rolled these ceilings with an extension pole and now we couldn't get quite close enough to the ceiling fan. Now, we're just going to cut around it using our extension pole, brush holder, and cutting brush. So, I'm going to give you a closer look at the ceiling fan. It's right here. You can see it's got the sketching plate around it. And we're just going to cut around that with our brush and holder. So, stay tuned. So, I got this simple brush holder right here. It's adjustable. It's got a wing nut right here, so you can adjust it. Very simple, easy to use. It's got another wing nut right here. So, this thing will twist also. So, I'm going to set my brush holder. And it's actually kind of like just spring loed. And the brush just actually slides in here. And I like this type of brush holder cuz it actually holds it extremely secure right here. This brush isn't going to go anywhere. Hopefully, you can see that now. And now this is going to be attached to the extension pull. And now we can just cut in with this thing. So, now we're just getting up on this 10ft ladder. Show you what it looks like here. Two roll the same. Just got a four to eight foot extension pole. Just take your time. Go slow. There's no hurry. You just don't want to touch the light. And all you got to do is just get like within an eighth of an inch cuz it's so high. Nobody can tell. Just make adjustments to your brush just to get around. Work around the area you need to work around. Just use your pole to just move around the fan. Did one of these a few days ago that was even higher. It's probably like even 5t higher. You can see just working really slow, cutting it in. Just got to take your time. Have a steady hand. Just working around the furniture. We thought we'd have to move the furniture and uncover it, but it's been working just fine. We're able to reach without it. So, it's a good idea to have this stuff covered just in case you drip any paint or drop your brush or if any accidents happen. See, now we're on the opposite side of the light. And now we'll start cutting around this side right here. So, you just set your brush few inches away from the plate and you kind of start slowly working to the plate. The scotch and plate. See, now he's got the cutins done. Now we're just sticking on a 4-in roller with a 3/8 inch nap to just fill in the outside. There you have it. Just cutting around high ceiling lights with using an extension pole and some simple tools. We just got our cutin bucket that we use a typical cutin bucket. That's a 2gallon bucket. We had just a 2 and 1/2 in angled sash brush. We use we used a 4 in roller with a 3/8 in nap. And then we had a onegon bucket screen in that bucket. Then we just used our 4 to 8 ft extension pole. And then we used our brush holder that goes on our extension pole. And then a 10ft ladder.
