Prior to applying any adhesive, carefully place all the freshly cut laminate pieces, including both the nosing and the main tread pieces, onto their respective stair tread. This 'dry-fit' allows you to ensure that all pieces fit perfectly. Visually inspect for tight seams, check for flush edges against the wall, and confirm proper alignment with the nosing. Make any necessary minor adjustments to the cuts at this stage before final installation.
