Step 7 · Sow Ground Cover Seeds

If using seeds, follow the package instructions for seeding rates. Broadcast the seeds evenly over the prepared soil. For most ground cover seeds, lightly rake them into the top 1/8 to 1/4 inch of soil, or simply walk over the seeded area to press them into the soil. Avoid burying the seeds too deeply, as many require light to germinate.
