Step 1 · Clear the Area

Before planting, thoroughly clear the entire area where the ground cover will be established. This includes removing any rocks, large stones, debris, and most importantly, all existing weeds and vegetation. For persistent weeds, consider digging them out by the root or using a landscape fabric to suppress future growth. A clean surface is crucial for the ground cover to establish without competition.
