Step 9 · Paint or Finish Molding

Apply your chosen finish to the crown molding. This typically involves priming (if necessary) and then applying one or more coats of paint, stain, or varnish. Use a high-quality brush for clean lines along the edges. Allow each coat to dry thoroughly according to the manufacturer's instructions before applying the next, or before moving heavy furniture back into the room.
