Step 5 · Apply Adhesive

For each piece of crown molding, apply a continuous bead of high-quality construction adhesive along the back surfaces that will contact the wall and ceiling. Ensure the bead is consistent and not too thick, which could cause excessive squeeze-out. Work in manageable sections to avoid the adhesive skinning over before you can install the molding.
