You Won't believe what we're milling with the Woodmizer!
What happens here
The milling process begins by cutting off the curved outer sections, known as slabs, from the log. The saw blade moves through the log, creating a flat surface. These initial cuts remove the bark and irregular edges, revealing the straight-grained wood beneath. The slabs fall off the side of the mill as sawdust is ejected, forming a pile. These slabs are then removed to make way for further cuts.
Goal: Remove the outer curved sections of the log.
