Proper Drip Edge Installation and Selection

Worst roof install ever!
What happens here
Luke demonstrates the proper installation of drip edge and contrasts it with the insufficient drip edge previously on Josh's roof. The old roof had a small, roughly 1.5-inch by 1.25-inch drip edge. Luke introduces the 'F8 drip edge,' a larger and more effective alternative. The F8 drip edge is designed to be installed along the bottom (eaves) and side (rake edges) of the roof perimeter. On the eaves, the drip edge is installed *underneath* the ice and water shield/underlayment to prevent water from wicking back under the roof. On the rake edges, the drip edge is installed *over* the underlayment to shed water effectively. This comprehensive approach ensures that water is properly directed away from the fascia and foundation.
Goal: Ensure effective water shedding at roof edges to protect fascia and foundation.
