What to expect when ordering chicks or chickens from Meyer hatchery.....Day 1 arrival! Awesome!

What happens here

To start preparing the brooder, the presenter lines the bottom of a large galvanized metal tub with a thick layer of pine shavings. He notes that this setup is for 26 chickens and that this amount of space is plenty for them. He briefly mentions that baby chicks produce a lot of dust and that he has ideas for dust control, including covering the brooder with cloth, but for now, he'll deal with it.

Goal: Create a comfortable and absorbent bedding layer in the brooder.
