What happens here
Back at the garage, the presenter introduces the newly acquired chicks to their prepared brooder box. He places a feeder containing DuMor brand 24% chick starter crumble and a waterer (Mason jar with a base) inside the brooder. He checks the temperature again, confirming it's around 90 degrees Fahrenheit (32 degrees Celsius) with 40% humidity. He then very carefully places the chicks, first the Cornish Cross and then the White Leghorns, into the brooder. He demonstrates how to 'dip their beak' into the waterer to ensure they learn to drink immediately. He emphasizes careful handling, as dropping a chick can be fatal.
Goal: Safely transfer chicks to the brooder and ensure they have access to food and water.
