What to expect when ordering chicks or chickens from Meyer hatchery.....Day 1 arrival! Awesome!

What happens here

The presenter demonstrates the heat lamp setup. He uses a heat lamp with a red bulb, designed to provide warmth without bright light, which can stress chicks. He attaches the heat lamp to the side of the galvanized tub using a large blue C-clamp (Irwin Grip). He clarifies that this heat lamp provides sufficient warmth for the chicks, even in cold outdoor temperatures, and advises against excessive heat, as chicks will naturally move away from the light if too hot. He also hints at the importance of humidity for chick respiratory health, based on observations from commercial chicken farms.

Goal: Provide a safe and effective heat source for the chicks.
