What happens here
Locate the fuel filter, which is typically a cylindrical housing with a transparent bowl at the bottom, located near the engine. Place a small container or rag underneath to catch any spilled fuel. Use pliers or a suitable wrench to loosen the ring that secures the filter housing. Carefully remove the old fuel filter element (John Deere RE519626) and empty any fuel from the bowl. Clean the filter housing and bowl thoroughly. Inspect the O-rings and replace them if necessary. Install the new fuel filter element, ensuring it's seated correctly. Reassemble the housing and tighten the retaining ring. After replacement, you may need to 'prime' the fuel system by repeatedly pumping the hand pump (if available) on the fuel system until resistance is felt, indicating the system is free of air and fuel has filled the filter. The video mentions opening the drain on the filter while pumping to allow air to escape.
Goal: Install a new fuel filter for clean fuel delivery to the engine.
