Add New Engine Oil

What happens here

After the new oil filter is installed and the drain plug is secured, open the engine oil fill cap. Place a clean funnel into the oil fill opening to prevent spills. Carefully pour the new engine oil (Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 Synthetic) into the engine. Refer to your tractor's owner's manual for the exact capacity, but for this John Deere 5065E, it is approximately 4.5 quarts (1.125 gallons). Pour slowly to avoid air pockets and overflow. Remove the funnel and replace the oil fill cap securely once all the required oil has been added.

Goal: Refill the engine with fresh, clean engine oil.
