What happens here

If your sink has an unused hole and you wish to install a soap dispenser, insert the top portion of the dispenser with its gasket into the hole from above the sink. From underneath, thread and hand-tighten the retaining nut to secure it. Next, reconnect the sink's drain plumbing. This typically involves reattaching the P-trap (the U-shaped pipe) and the horizontal drain pipes. Ensure all components are properly aligned and the slip nuts are hand-tightened. After hand-tightening, use an adjustable wrench to give each slip nut a final snug turn to prevent leaks, being careful not to overtighten. Ensure the sprayer hose is not pinched or tangled by any drain components.

Goal: Install the optional soap dispenser and reconnect the sink's drain plumbing.
