What happens here

This video demonstrates how to remove a sink drain, likely in preparation for replacing it or fixing a leak. The steps involve removing the P-trap using channel lock pliers (after preparing for spillage), detaching the drain arm, pulling out the drain stopper, unscrewing the drain flange with tongue and groove pliers, and finally, cleaning off any old silicone sealant from around the drain opening.
