What happens here

This project provides a safe and easy method to remove a 'flow type' or push-to-connect valve from plumbing using a specialized tubing cutter, avoiding potential damage to pipes often caused by traditional removal techniques. The process involves cutting the valve body, removing remnants, and preparing the pipe for a new valve installation.

So I'm not a fan of these flow type valves. I'm going to show you an easy way to get these off. Now, manufacturers are going to tell you to grab this and just pull and twist it off going counterclockwise. You don't know how your pipe is secured and do you know what kind of pipe it is? Do not do that. You can really jack up your plumbing and then you have a bigger issue. What you want to do is grab a little tubing cutter. This is a region 118. It goes from quarter inch to inch to eighth. I also happen to have this ratcheting attachment for it. I'm going to cut right up here at front by this o-ring. So you're going to want to take the discussion off. Slide this on up in here. You're going to start cracking. Awful to take this piece right here. Slide it back. You can remove the o-ring. You want to just grab a little pair of snips. Boom. Slap a new discussion on. Clean this up a little bit. So now you're going to go and you're ready to install a new valve.
