What happens here

The video begins by demonstrating a common 'flow type' or push-to-connect valve. The narrator immediately warns against the manufacturer's suggested method of pulling and twisting the valve counter-clockwise to remove it. This traditional method can severely damage the secured pipe, leading to significant plumbing issues, especially if the pipe type or installation is unknown. It's crucial to understand this risk before proceeding with removal.

So I'm not a fan of these flow type valves. I'm going to show you an easy way to get these off. Now, manufacturers are going to tell you to grab this and just pull and twist it off going counterclockwise. You don't know how your pipe is secured and do you know what kind of pipe it is? Do not do that. You can really jack up your plumbing and then you have a bigger issue. What you want to do is grab a little tubing cutter. This is a region 118. It goes from quarter inch to inch to eighth. I also happen to have this ratcheting attachment for it.
