What happens here

This project details the process of removing an old, rusted cast iron toilet flange that is sealed into a cast iron drain pipe with lead. The method involves strategically drilling out the lead seal to weaken it, followed by using a hammer and screwdriver to chisel and pry the flange until it breaks and can be removed.

So you want to drill bit that actually is going to fit down in between the cast iron without breaking. So you just essentially want to hit lead. You can see how the lead comes out of there. You just make a few more of these and then we're going to try to see what we can pop out there. Just kind of get in there and start to pry up some lead. Like I've got some better ways of doing this, like by all means. Let me know. I'm happy to learn it, man. I think I started at the thickest portion of the lead, for sure. Look, boom, they're lucky it just kind of comes out like a coiled snake.
