What happens here
Place a bucket or towels directly under the water supply connections to catch any residual water. Using an adjustable wrench, carefully loosen and disconnect the braided hot and cold water supply lines from their respective shut-off valves. Next, locate the quick-connect fitting for the pull-down sprayer hose. For the Pfister model shown, this involves spreading apart two green plastic tabs to release the hose from the faucet's main body. Finally, remove the counterweight that is clamped onto the sprayer hose, as it will be reinstalled on the new faucet's hose or replaced with a new one.
Goal: Disconnect the hot and cold water supply lines and the pull-down sprayer hose from the old faucet system.
