Patching a Hole in a Wall and Using Spray Texture. Tips Using Homax spray texture.

What happens here

Before spraying, it's crucial to protect surrounding areas from overspray and texture droplets. Use a 3M Hand Masker loaded with 9-inch masking paper and 1-inch masking tape. Apply a strip of taped paper along the baseboard and carpet line, ensuring it's securely attached. For additional protection, especially if you're new to spray texturing, apply a second, overlapping row of masking paper slightly above the first on the wall. This creates a broader barrier against accidental texture application.

Goal: Protect surrounding surfaces from texture overspray

And to start off the project, we've got a small hole that was in the wall. We've actually patched that hole in the wall and we've sanded it. And if you want to see how um a convenient way to make a patch like that, we have a video to show you how to patch a hole in the wall. So, we've got the patch the patch is dry and it's sanded. Now, we're going to begin spray texturing our wall with our Homeax spray texture. And the spray texture is um definitely send some overspray and some droplets out that you don't want to get on your carpet or baseboard. So, we use a u 3M hand masker and we just take 9 in paper and 1 in tape. And we're just going to put a paper down here. Just set that down there. And that's going to keep any texture from falling on your carpet or your base. Then we usually set another piece just a little bit down from the wall right there. And if you want to make sure you don't get anything if you don't have a lot of experience with the spray cans, then just put a second row. And then we start off with the the can. And this can should be at room temperature. If it's not at room temperature, they don't spray very well.
