Operating a Graco 695 Airless Sprayer. Paint Sprayer Instructions. How to use an airless sprayer.

this is Chris in this video we're going to show you how to um run a uh this is Chris from Bo this is this is Chris and Boise in this video we're going to show you how to run a grco 695 airless sprayer this is an electric airless sprayer and we're setting up to spray an exterior right now on a home and prior to starting the paint um and using the airless about every two to three times we use it we put some packing lube and packing saver inside the packings and on this model right here to actually get the lubrication it's on the front right here to show a close up to this area and we're going to take our packing sa and I've got the the uh protecting cover on it released right here there's uh screws that actually hold it on and I actually never actually keep it on it hangs right here always and you're going to just want to take your packing saber and you just start you put it up against the piston on the pump right here and you just start letting it run down the piston and you'll eventually see when it fills up over the top and I'm going to keep running my packing saver down in there and it's very important this is what keeps the piston and the packings lubricated so they don't wear out prematurely so I'm going to keep releasing some packing saber in there and once it begins to spill over barely I keep running it in in there it's probably about full now so now I'm done putting in the packing Loop now I've got I want to check one thing prior to spraying too is I'm going to check my filter on the machine I'm going to this is the machine filter right here I want to make inspect it make sure it's clean and free flowing I usually take and put some packing saber on the threads so I don't get get any dried paint and the threads don't um rust even though it's stainless steel I've even got some rust on the top of it right there but it keeps it lubricated keeps paint from drying on the threads and I'm going to tighten it back up and this is just hand tight don't want to use any tools so now it's hand tight and our machine's lubricated filter's clean it's ready to run we've got on the grco 695 this is um doesn't have a digital readout this one's just got a smart control it has a watchdog which is if the paint if the the sprayer if it runs out of paint you're around the other side of the house it loses its prime it'll shut the sprayer off instead of um running it um losing its prime which could overheat the sprayer and we actually don't use the Watchdog thing cuz we always have multiple people painting as soon as they hear lose its prime someone runs over and turns it off cuz the watch doog thing goes off sometimes when it it shouldn't so we always have an off position over here on the left hand side is your onof button that turns the pump on and off this is your pressure right here and low pressure is all the way to the left um high pressure is all the way to the right clockwise this is your Prime knob right here this is what you use to prime your sprayer to get it ready to spray and I always take a bucket of clean water and I start off and I have this is your uptake that takes up the paint this is your Prime um outlet that you use to purge your sprayer of air and get it ready to paint so I'm going to put this in clean water I'm going to put my sprayer to spray and all the way down is prime if you want to purge the air up to the side is spray up to either side is spray down is prime so we're going to put it to spray turn it on and come on now I'm going to turn it the prime wait till clean water comes out no air you can see it purging the air fli it back up to spray it's built up to its pressure and I always set my pressure at about 2:00 which is around 2200 PSI and that's we all of our ex years we run it at 2200 PSI now it's actually ready to spray with clean water in it I've got my paint right here always use a cut lid we just cut a lid that way the paint won't dry out I'm to take I'm going to turn it to Prime and then while andge all the water out I'm going stick in my paint makeit my te paint come I'm still waiting for it to Prime all the air out and paint to come out now paint starts coming out I'm going wait till see all the air bubbles when I see no more air bubbles I'll turn it to [Applause] spray now it's built up its pressure and then I just take my Prim to by just stick it in a bucket of water you can stick it in a bucket of water or you can stick it back in the paint and the sprayer is ready to spray it's on spray right here the pressures at 2200 PSI and now we got one last thing to do we've got our um hose that still has water in it so we're going to run the water out of our once I begin to see water or once I begin to see paint come out it's starting to get ready to come out now I'll switch it to a paint bucket I'll run it for a little bit to make sure there no air bubbles in the line we CA fit when I start now built back at the pressure I'm ready to put on my rat Garden tip
