Prime the Sprayer with Paint
At 4:25 in
Operating a Graco 695 Airless Sprayer. Paint Sprayer Instructions. How to use an airless sprayer.
What happens here
With the sprayer now primed with water, place the uptake tube into the bucket of paint. The operator uses a specially cut lid for the paint bucket to help prevent the paint from drying out around the uptake tube. Ensure the prime knob is in the 'prime' position (all the way down) and turn on the sprayer. Direct the purge hose into an empty bucket. Observe the fluid coming from the purge hose; initially, it will be water, then a mix of water and paint, and finally, pure paint. Continue running until only paint flows out smoothly with no air bubbles visible. Once all air and water are purged, switch the prime knob to the 'spray' position to build paint pressure, then turn off the sprayer.
Goal: Introduce paint into the system and purge any remaining air and water.
